Did you know that every local Citizens Advice is a charity?

Citizens Advice Nottingham & District is a vital part of the fabric of your community.  We rely on the support of people like you to help us make a difference for our clients.  We do this by supporting our clients with the problems they face, while campaigning to improve the policies and practices that affect people’s lives.

Nottingham Legal Walk – 16 May 2019

We are proud to take part in the Nottingham Legal Walk 2019, especially as we’re celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Citizens Advice service this year.

Advice agencies like ourselves do a fantastic job in preventing homelessness, resolving debt problems, gaining care for the elderly and disabled, and fighting exploitation for some of the most vulnerable people in our society.

The money we raise will help keep us operating and ensure our services are as effective as possible.

Please support our walkers as generously as you are able – a donation page has been set up here

Please help us to help those in greatest need.

Thank you!

MLST why do we walk

Give as you live

Give as you live is a shopping and price comparison website.  You can shop for products from thousands of leading online retailers and every time you make a purchase, a percentage will be donated to us on your behalf.  It doesn’t cost you a penny extra.

Amazon Smile

Do you shop online at Amazon?  If so, Amazon have launched a simple and automatic way for you to support a charity of your choice (of which Citizens Advice Nottingham is now one of the charities) every time you shop, at no cost to you.

Simply go to and on your first visit select the organisation and then every eligible purchase you make Amazon will donate 0.5% of the net purchases.  You can use your existing account from, and your shopping cart, wish lists, and other account setting are also the same.

Don’t forget to spread the word and ask your family and friends to help us raise some money too.

Other ways to donate

If you would like to help, no matter how small, you could make a donation either by:.

  • donating online on the BT MyDonate page (we use this online donation service as it charges 0% commission with no set up fee or monthly charges for charities, ensuring we get 100% of your donation)
  • texting CITA34 £10 to 70070 to donate £10

Don’t forget you could Gift Aid it if you are a UK tax payer.  Adding Gift Aid on donations means that we can reclaim the basic rate of tax on your gift.  That’s a whopping 25p for every £1 donated, and really adds up.
