Debt Adviser (CEDA project)

Citizens Advice Central Nottinghamshire and Nottingham & District are looking for debt advisers to join us on a brand new project working with clients providing them with advice over the telephone. You will be working with a tight knit team to provide help and a way forward to those most in need. We will provide full training.
If you wish to be considered for this exciting opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills-
- An ability to demonstrate a high level of commitment to training and good understanding/experience of the processes in dealing with advice giving
- The ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines using own initiative
- The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with a range of people and organisations
- The ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team and work without close supervision
- Ability and willingness to follow agreed procedures
- Ability to work in a sensitive, enabling and non-judgemental way with people from a wide range of backgrounds
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries

Debt Advice Coordinator

Citizens Advice Nottingham & District are looking for a Debt Advice Co-ordinator to join our General Advice team to develop the capacity of volunteer advisers to assist clients with debt problems and to support the debt casework team.
This role will also include attendance at cost of living events and outreach locations throughout Nottingham City, Rushcliffe and Gedling areas.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be organised, self-motivated and able to travel to venues.
You will have recent debt advice experience ideally in a not-for-profit advice setting. You will also have recent experience of or be able to demonstrate an ability to support and supervise advice workers.

Advice Supervisor (temporary to 31 March 2026)
| Salary | £11,351 – £11,865 per annum (£28,000 – £29,268 full time equivalent) depending on experience |

Citizens Advice Nottingham & District are looking for an Advice Supervisor to join our General Advice Team to supervise and support paid, volunteer and outreach advice workers.
This role will also include attendance at cost of living events and outreach locations throughout Nottingham City, Rushcliffe and Gedling areas.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be organised, self-motivated and able to travel to venues.
You will have a minimum of two years’ experience of delivering advice (in welfare benefits, housing and employment) ideally in a local Citizens Advice Office. You will also have recent experience of or be able to demonstrate an ability to support and supervise advice workers.
