Our General Advice Team have a number of vacancies:
Debt advice co-ordinator
37 hours per week
£25,500 pa
We are looking for highly motivated person to develop the ability of our volunteer advisers in providing debt advice and support to vulnerable people, many of whom have complex needs.
You will be able to demonstrate that you:
- have recent debt advice experience, preferably within a not-for-profit advice setting
- are able to identify debt emergencies, priority and non-priority debts and appropriate next steps
- have the ability to support, guide, and mentor individuals to develop skills and competence
- have the ability to give and receive feedback objectively and sensitively and willingness to challenge constructively

Generalist Adviser
37 hours per week
£20,500 – £23,000 depending on experience
We are looking for a full-time Generalist Adviser to join our General Advice team to deliver advice sessions at City based office and various outreach locations.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills with an ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision. They will be organised, self-motivated, able to travel to outreach venues and have a minimum of six months and ongoing experience of delivering advice (in welfare benefits, housing and employment) preferably in a Local Citizens Advice Office.

Advice Supervisors
37 hours per week (full-time) and 28 hours per week (part-time)
£26,060 (pro rata for part-time)
We are looking for Advice Supervisors to join our General Advice Team to supervise and support paid, volunteer and outreach advice workers.
You will be able to demonstrate
- Two years and ongoing experience of advice work (in debt, welfare benefits, housing and employment) preferably in a Local Citizens Advice Office.
- Ability to support and supervise volunteer advice workers working at the Generalist Advisers competency level both face to face and remotely.
- Excellent communication skills
- A passion for working with volunteers.
